My Sweet Ever Happy Mother!

I have a new companion and everything is great and fine!  My new companions name is Elder Benitez.  He is awesome!

President talked to me last Friday and told me he was "proud as heck" of me and my obedience and what I was doing.  He told me I was doing great!  So no worries Mom all is well!  Sometimes it's hard to see the changes in myself but I'm glad you recognize them!  I don't really like having weaknesses honestly but I see the importance of them and I know it's all part of the plan.  It's so cool you got to take Bryce to the MTC.  Bryce is always hungry, he will love the all you can eat and chocolate milk at the MTC. So glad we are friends,  we are pretty much brothers.  After the first few days all the excitement dies down a little until you are about to leave for your mission, then it skyrockets!  I can't wait to see Bryce again!  When I get home I can go and Skype with his family and talk to him.

All those experiences you had this last week sounds like it unleashed a tsunami of tears lol!  Sorry you were sick on your Birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!  I have a surprise for you that I'm going to send home but I can't tell you, you have to wait and see but I'm sure you'll love it and cry some more too haha:D

I can't believe Jeremy is being deployed so soon.  That means he will get home just a little bit before I do!  Maybe if he gets delayed a bit we can be returned missionaries together!  I'll just connect my flight to his return flight and we can get off the plane together like return missionary brothers!

Wow that sounds really weird hearing you call me a man haha.  I still feel like a kid.  Thank you so much Mom for your email!  I love you tons, if I need anything I'll let you know!  Love You

I have a new companion his name is Elder Benitez.  We are doing great!!!

So glad you got to take Bryce to the MTC!  He will really like the MTC, it's all you can eat and never ending chocolate milk.

I've learned a lot of lessons about obedience in these last few weeks.  You are my father and you are entitled to receive revelation for me.  Thank you for all your council, I will do as you said.  I will put aside all other things and serve the best I can.  I love you so much Dad and miss you tons!  I can't wait until the day we can sit and talk, I have a lot to fill you guys in on.  If I need anything I will let you know, thank you so much!

Love you for Eternity

I love you Mom!

This week was a little on the rough side but it was ok.  This is a new week now:D  Your welcome for the pictures.  I'll send more, glad everyone liked them.  When President Johnson of the Seventy was here he was telling us a fable about 2 cats to teach us the importance of being bilingual and one was super skinny and one was super fat.  For the skinny cat he asked who was the skinniest in the room and everyone pointed at me and so he used me for the example haha.  It was really funny!  What's really funny here is that the people can't believe my age.  Everyone thinks I'm in my late twenties and a couple have thought I was like 30 haha.  They are in shock when I tell them I'm only 19.  Thanks for taking the names to the temple.  I'm glad to see that Grandma didn't suffer a heart attack when  you and Dad just showed up without telling her.  She looks great!  It's so awesome you get to pick Bryce up and take him to the MTC.  I wish I could be there!  I'm really glad he is ready !

The investigators are good it's just a question of getting them to come to church.  We are still working on that one.  Don't worry Mom I don't want to live here but I think it would be nice to visit again.  Only a couple more months and we get to talk face to face.  I'm really excited for conference too!  I'm glad you are having missionary opportunities!  Keep it up!  Yes you are definitely loved very much and don't forget it!  Thank you for all your prayers, they really do help!  My cloths are fine and so am I!  One thing I have noticed is that having a companion is really preparing me for having a wife haha.  Normally you wouldn't think that it could prepare you for that but it honestly does.  I'm really learning a lot about how to work with someone else and the importance of communication.  Thanks for everything Mom!  I love you

Love you forever more

Good evening Dad!

Love you Dad!  One of the new Elders here in my district is from Mesa Arizona and he went to Red Mountain High School.  His name is Elder Porter.  I am so excited you and mom get to pick Bryce up and take him to the MTC.  Tell him the nervousness goes away after the first day.

About all the referrals, we haven't been able to visit them because the member who gave them to us hasn't had time so we are hoping to contact about 16 of them this week.  I was really happy that we got that many and I sure hope that all of them will be interested!  No I'm pretty sure it's not a record, maybe in our area but another area had like 150 references in one day.

Right now I'm trying to be obedient.  I'm still struggling a little with getting up on time but I'm going to change that!  I've had some difficulties with my companion too but we are trying to work through it.  I'm trying to be patient and work through it.  I'm sure that all will be well:D  This last week we had three days where we had absolutely nothing and it was really hard but I'm ready for a new week!  Thank you for the advice!  Well as of right now the obstacle to overcome is getting them to go to church.  Until they do that they can't be baptized so we are working to get over this hurtle first.  I'm really glad to have this experience.  Thank you for all your help Dad and for guiding me!  You really are the best Dad in the world!  I love you so much!

Love you more!

March 10, 2014 Love our Missionary

March 10, 2014

My extremely sweet and ever happy Mom!

Yes having 50 contacts is a lot of work but we are happy to have it!  They are really great people and I'm glad I'm here.  My week was good.  We didn't have service on our phone for the entire week so we had to use the church phone to call the mission home each night but that was fun.  We talked to president a  lot.  Our investigators are good!  They are progressing well!  This last Sunday we had 10 less actives in church!  We are having a lot of success with less actives too!  We've reactivated some people that haven't gone to church for years!  It's so cool!  They just need friends.

I know you had a hard day on Saturday because it was the day Kels passed away.  Mom she isn't gone, she is still here.  The spirit world is here on the earth!  You just can't see her.  I know it's hard to be away from her but when it's time you will see her again!:)  Have joy in the knowledge that we are an eternal family and we can be together forever and don't let sadness get in the way of that!  It's the little things like reading our scriptures and praying and going to church that really matter.
Love You!

Hey Dad!  te amo!

I think I'm in tune a lot more than I realize I just need to act more on the thoughts that come to my mind.  I know if I can be in tune that I will be happy and have success!  Well sometimes I don't feel very in tune.  Sometimes I feel far from that and like Heavenly Father isn't listening to me or answering my prayers.  But I know that's not true.  I believe he is listening and I just need to wait for the answer sometimes.  That's another thing I think sometimes I'm really anxious for things to happen now and I want it to just all happen but that's not how God works.  He has a time for everything and I need to understand that better and turn my focus more outward than inward.  This mission isn't about me, it's about others and their salvation and my Father in Heaven.

I think this mission is really helping me prepare for the future.  Whatever work Heavenly Father has for me to do I will do it!  I can't wait to go through the Gilbert temple with you.  I want to do a session you officiate!  Our investigators are great and progressing well!  We should have some more baptisms in the middle of April.  We have had really good lessons with them!  I hope the people really love me but more than that I hope they feel the spirit because he helps in the conversion the most!  The Branch President and one of his counselors want me to come live in Tempoal after my mission but I don't think so haha. They want me to finish my mission here too.  Thanks Dad, I love you so much!  I'm doing great and will continue to do so!

Hey Mom!

I'm so glad that the dedication was so good!  Great things are happening and they will continue to happen!  Obedience really does bring Miracles!!!!  I have a lot I need to fix but I'm glad I can help!  In this week we received more than 50 references from members!!!!  We have a lot of work to do!  We also had 6 new investigators last week!  We also had a really cool experience!  We were headed for the house of a less active member and I saw some ladies that were outside their house shoveling a lot of dirt for their yard.  At first we passed by because we were in a hurry for the appointment, but the thought came to my mind to go back and ask them if we could help so I did.  One lady had a huge look of relief on her face and gratefully accepted and so for the next hour and a half we helped them move dirt.  Within like 5 minutes of starting they started asking us about the church and told us they wanted to go sometime.  Service works great!!!  They invited us to bread and milk after and we talked with them a little and they told us they were interested in knowing more and today we have another lesson with them at 6.  I bet the hankies were really beautiful, you always make beautiful things!  Wow sounds like you did a lot of crying this week, I wouldn't doubt you had that many tears in you though.  It is wonderful that you have all these blessings.  Thanks so much!  I love you!  Ya the shoes fit.  Love you lots Mom!

Hey Dad!

Love you!  We had 6 new investigators this week!  Also we had a really cool experience!  We were heading to a less active members home one night and the weather wasn't too good.  We passed by some ladies that were outside their house shoveling a mountain of dirt for their front yard.  There wasn't anyone helping them.  At first we passed by them because we were in a hurry, but the thought came to my mind to go back and ask them if we could help them so I did!  One lady who was shoveling had a look of relief on her face and I knew I did the right thing.  We were there for an hour and a half helping them before it started to rain and luckily we finished it all before the rain hit.  Within like five minutes of us starting to help they started asking us about the church and told us they wanted to go sometime.  Service is great!  They invited us for some bread and milk and we talked with them a little and they are interested in hearing more!  It was a really great experience!  I am learning about obedience and I can really see the effects of it!  Sometimes it's hard to focus on the people but I do for the most part.  Thank you for your prayers!  Keeping the rules is really hard but it is worth it.  I've found that as I keep them it gets easier and easier to keep them.  I want to be the Lords missionary and that kind of missionary would obey no matter what and so that's what I'm going to do!  Thanks for your counsel!  No I didn't get transferred.  My companion and I are still here.  There is a possibility that in 3 weeks a new area will open up here in Tempoal and we will get divided but we'll see what happens.  It's a little funny to think that I'll have a fourth of my mission in my second area.  At the end of this change I'll have been here for 6 months in this area.  Yep the shoes fit fine, thanks for sending them!  Let me know how serving in the Gilbert temple goes.  Love you lots Dad!  Thanks for everything you do!  Love you!!!!

ps  I was a little unhappy and I don't understand why I'm still here but I made a commitment not to worry about it and just work and serve and forget myself!

Hola Mama!  Te amo muchisimo!

Sorry about the pictures but I can send more now because I have my new camera!  This week we had a miracle!!!!  We count the references we receive from people and when we contact those references.  Yesterday we received 16 references in total and we contacted 6 others!  I've never seen anything like that happen!  It was great!  From one brother we received more than 10 references and he has a ton more.  I'm sure I received this blessing for my obedience!  Heavenly Father has blessed me so much and it's all thanks to him that I'm having these experiences and that I have everything I do!  He really does answer prayers!  I try to recognize that everything comes from the Lord.  I don't want to be ungrateful.  Attitude of gratitude is the best!  I really wish I was more humble like that, that's something I need to work on.  A lot of times I don't feel humble, it's really hard to be humble and at times it's frustrating but it's ok, I just keep trying:)  Thanks so much Mom!  Love you lots!

Morning Dad

Hey the package  is here and yes everything was in it, camera and all!  Yesterday we had a miracle!  Here in the mission we count when we receive references from members and when we contact those references.  Yesterday we received about 5 references from members of the branch counsel and from one of the counselors in the branch we received more than 10 references!!!  In total we received 16 references yesterday!  That is the most I have ever seen in one day!!!!  That's not all!  With this brother that gave us the references, he gave us 5 other references as we were walking in the street and we contacted them all.  We also contacted one from the list he gave us.  In total we had 6 references contacted yesterday!  We also had a new investigator yesterday from this!  All this happened in one day and because of the faith of this brother!  Most members normally are afraid to present us to people but he had no fear!  If he saw someone he knew in the street he would just take us over to them and present us to them and we have a lot of appointments now!  All of this happened in one day!  I was super happy and I feel that it's because of my obedience.  I've been more obedient and I've seen the blessings of it.  Thanks for the prayers and counsel on the blessing!  That really helped and I learned something new.  When things happen it depends on my obedience.  I've been really blessed to be able to serve here in this mission.

I'm pretty sure I will get transferred though, I've been here for 3 changes.  President also asked me specifically in the interview we just had with him this last week about my obedience and if there were any details.  I told him about the getting up late and sometimes I use the computer for longer than I should but I told him that both of those I had changed and I felt good now.  My district leader told me that when president asks us for our obedience in the interviews it usually means he has an assignment for us to do like district leader, trainer or zone leader or something like that, so we'll see this week what happens.  If I get a chance to serve more I would love it.  I'll be safe don't worry.  I love you so much Dad and can't wait to see you again!  Be safe and take care of Mom and yourself!  Love you.  Have a great week!

Lots of love
